Our Mandate
The Canadian Club of Winnipeg is a not-for-profit, apolitical organization. The mandate of the Club is to provide a forum for guest speakers who have a message of general interest to Canadians. It is through these speakers that the Club seeks to promote Canadian unity and identity and aims to offer to members and guests the opportunity to hear intelligent discourse on issues that affect our city, province and nation. The topics touch on various areas of interest, from the political arena to the forefront of technology, to the hot button topics of health care, to the latest in current affairs.
Reasons to Join:
Educational:
The luncheons are an ideal opportunity to hear from leaders in many different areas of interest and always provide the opportunity for members to ask questions.
Networking:
The Canadian Club provides great networking opportunities with industry leaders and peers.
Business Promotion:
Entertain clients, associates or other guests in an atmosphere conducive to stimulating thought and discussion.
Socializing:
A Canadian Club luncheon is a great way to "do something different" for lunch. Rather than trying to think of a new place to go, bring your friends to a luncheon!
It's inexpensive:
The cost of the membership is only $85.00 a year. Member tickets for luncheons are typically $30.00 while non-members are $40 - 50.00. (There are discounted rates for seniors and students.)
It is convenient:
You will be notified of all meetings and can make reservations for tickets and/or corporate tables by fax, email or telephone. Luncheons are planned in such a way that attendees can fit them in over an extended lunch hour as they are always 90 minutes, usually starting at noon and finishing promptly at 1:30 p.m.
